The Zimbabwe Rugby Union is thrilled to share the incredible success of a recent Tag Rugby event hosted by our affiliate, TAG Rugby Trust (TRT), in Plumtree! In celebration of Women’s Month, a vibrant group of 86 girls and 10 dedicated mentors came together for a day filled with fun, teamwork, and rugby.

The event was a resounding success, with the girls enthusiastically participating in Tag Rugby matches and engaging in exciting team-building activities. The energy and enthusiasm were truly inspiring!

To further support the growth of women’s rugby in the region, TRT generously awarded rugby kits to two deserving teams. Additionally, several individuals were recognized for their outstanding performances with special t-shirts.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to TAG Rugby Trust for their unwavering commitment to developing rugby at the grassroots level and empowering young women through sport.
